Camp EDC Las Vegas Expands to 12 Days in 2027

September 14, 2026

For the first time in EDC history, Camp EDC Las Vegas is becoming a 12-day experience. From May 13 through May 24, 2027, campers can make Las Vegas Motor Speedway their home across both EDC weekends and the days in between, creating an entirely new way to experience Electric Daisy Carnival.

The expanded campground accompanies EDC Dusk Till Dawn, the festival’s new two-weekend format. EDC Dusk takes place May 14–16, followed by EDC Dawn May 21–23. Instead of packing up after the first weekend, guests with the full camping experience can remain at Camp EDC throughout the entire 12-day run, with daily programming, parties and amenities—and the freedom to leave and return during the week.

For dedicated Headliners, that turns EDC from a three-night festival trip into something closer to an extended dance-music vacation.

Insomniac confirms that Camp EDC 2027 runs May 13–24, while EDC Las Vegas is divided into the Dusk and Dawn festival weekends.

Why 12 Days of Camp EDC Is Such a Big Change

Traditionally, Camp EDC has extended the festival experience beyond the hours when the main EDC gates are open. Campers live next to the festival and spend their daytime hours at pool parties, activities and community programming before heading Under the Electric Sky at night.

In 2027, that concept becomes significantly more ambitious.

The full Dusk Till Dawn Camp EDC experience runs continuously from Thursday, May 13, through Monday, May 24. Campers choosing that option do not have to dismantle camp after EDC Dusk and return several days later for EDC Dawn.

Instead, Camp EDC becomes their home base for the entire stretch.

Insomniac says full Dusk Till Dawn campers will be able to come and go from the campground during the week between festivals, while enjoying 12 consecutive days of community, programming and experiences.

That middle week could become one of the most interesting parts of the new format.

Rather than experiencing two separate festivals, campers can treat Dusk Till Dawn as one extended journey.

EDC Dusk Till Dawn Creates Two Festival Weekends

The expansion of Camp EDC makes more sense when viewed alongside the larger transformation of EDC Las Vegas.

For 2027, Electric Daisy Carnival is splitting into two consecutive festival weekends:

EDC Dusk: May 14, 15 and 16

EDC Dawn: May 21, 22 and 23

The overall Dusk Till Dawn experience extends from May 13 through May 24, with EDC-themed programming planned throughout Las Vegas during that period.

Insomniac has also said the 2027 festival is being designed for lower capacity, with the goal of providing more room on dance floors while making transportation and accommodations easier.

The result is a major departure from the traditional EDC Las Vegas model.

Headliners can attend Dusk, Dawn or both weekends. Campers now have similar flexibility when deciding how long they want to stay.

Three Ways to Camp at EDC Las Vegas 2027

Camp EDC isn’t a one-size-fits-all experience.

For 2027, Insomniac has announced three main camping options:

  • Cozy ShiftPod Camping — formerly Moon Glow, for up to four people.
  • Cozier ShiftPod Camping — formerly Desert Rose, for up to two people, with air mattresses, bedding and preferred campground placement.
  • B.Y.O. RV Camping — bring your own recreational vehicle; a power add-on is required for the full 12-day Dusk Till Dawn option.

All three options are available for the full Dusk Till Dawn experience as well as the individual Dusk and Dawn camping periods. Insomniac announced that camping options could be secured with a $30 deposit at the initial on-sale.

Additional vehicle parking passes are also being offered.

Cozy ShiftPod Camping: Best for Groups

Cozy ShiftPod Camping replaces what returning campers may remember as Moon Glow.

Each pre-set ShiftPod can accommodate a group of up to four people.

The shelter measures approximately 12.5 feet by 12.5 feet with a height of 6 feet 10 inches. Its multilayered, reflective material is designed to help protect occupants from the elements, and Camp EDC places the shelter on artificial grass for additional comfort.

The major thing to remember is that Cozy camping does not provide your complete sleeping setup.

Guests should plan to bring their own sleeping gear, personal belongings and two travel locks for the ShiftPod.

One Pass Covers the ShiftPod

This is an important detail for groups budgeting for Camp EDC.

Only one Cozy ShiftPod camping pass is required for the entire ShiftPod, which can accommodate up to four campers.

You do not purchase four separate Cozy camping passes for four people sharing one tent.

However, every person staying at Camp EDC still needs an eligible EDC Las Vegas festival pass.

Cozier ShiftPod Camping: More Comfort for Two

Travelers who want a more comfortable setup should look at Cozier ShiftPod Camping, formerly known as Desert Rose.

The package accommodates up to two people and includes a pre-set ShiftPod along with sleeping essentials.

Insomniac says Cozier camping includes high-quality air mattresses, with either two twins or one queen, plus sheets and pillows. It also comes with a preferred camping location.

That removes some of the packing involved with Cozy camping.

You still need personal belongings and travel locks, but you won’t need to build your sleeping setup from scratch.

One Cozier Pass Covers Two People

As with Cozy camping, the pass applies to the accommodation rather than each individual guest.

One Cozier ShiftPod camping pass covers the ShiftPod for up to two people.

Each occupant still needs an EDC Las Vegas festival pass.

For couples or friends who value comfort and convenience, Cozier will likely be the most appealing tent-based option.

B.Y.O. RV Camping

The third option is B.Y.O. RV Camping.

RV camping can be particularly attractive for an extended 12-day stay because it provides a more substantial home base than a tent.

However, there is an important 2027 requirement: Insomniac says power add-ons are required for Dusk Till Dawn 12-day RV camping.

Anyone considering the RV option should carefully review vehicle requirements, arrival rules and power specifications before committing.

For a normal festival weekend, overlooking a small camping detail can be inconvenient. Over a 12-day stay in the Nevada desert, planning becomes much more important.

Camp EDC Passes Do Not Include Festival Admission

This is probably the most important purchasing rule to understand:

A Camp EDC pass does not include an EDC Las Vegas festival pass.

Every person entering the campground must have an eligible festival pass.

However, Insomniac has made the full 12-day campground more flexible than some visitors might expect.

All EDC Las Vegas festival passholders are eligible to purchase Dusk Till Dawn camping, even if they are attending only one festival weekend.

That means someone holding only an EDC Dusk or EDC Dawn festival pass can still purchase the full 12-day camping experience.

It’s an unusual setup and one worth understanding before comparing your options.

The Mesa Is the Heart of Camp EDC Las Vegas

Sleeping at Camp EDC is only part of the experience.

The social center is the Mesa, a large communal area filled with entertainment, wellness programming, activities and amenities.

During a traditional Camp EDC weekend, the Mesa helps bridge the gap between one night of EDC and the next. Campers can spend the day relaxing, meeting people and participating in activities without leaving the festival environment.

With Camp EDC expanding to 12 days, the Mesa becomes even more important.

It is effectively the campground’s town square.

Programming can include everything from pool parties and arts and crafts to group fitness and wellness activities.

Three Mountains, Three Different Experiences

Among the Mesa’s most recognizable features are three oversized shade structures known as Sol, Cascada and Flora.

Each provides shelter from the desert sun while hosting a different style of activity.

Sol: Movement and Mindfulness

Sol focuses on activities that engage the body and mind.

Past and planned Camp EDC programming includes activities such as:

  • Yoga
  • Guided meditation
  • Rave aerobics
  • Group movement and fitness

After spending much of the night walking and dancing around Las Vegas Motor Speedway, a slower morning activity can be a welcome change of pace.

Cascada: Creativity and Wellness

Cascada is oriented toward transformational programming, wellness workshops and hands-on creativity.

It’s also a primary destination for Camp EDC arts and crafts.

That creative side of Camp EDC is easy to overlook when focusing on DJs and pool parties, but it contributes significantly to the campground’s community atmosphere.

Flora: Beauty, Glam and Relaxation

Flora is devoted more heavily to beauty and self-care.

Programming can include beauty stations, glam labs, the Camp EDC salon and spa, essential-oil massages and additional experiences.

For campers staying 12 days, amenities that help them recharge may become much more valuable than they are during a short festival weekend.

The Party Doesn’t Stop When EDC Ends for the Night

One of the biggest advantages of camping is access to programming beyond the main festival.

Campers can expect Thursday-night kickoff parties at the Mesa, including surprise DJ sets, along with festival afterparties.

That means the rhythm of an EDC day can look very different for campers.

You might wake up and head to a wellness activity, spend the afternoon at a pool party, prepare for EDC, dance through the night at the Speedway and then return to Camp EDC for an afterparty.

With the full Dusk Till Dawn package, that cycle expands into nearly two weeks.

Pacing yourself will matter.

Camp EDC Is Getting Upgrades for 2027

A 12-day campground needs to function well, not merely look exciting.

Insomniac says campers can expect several improvements, including:

  • Shorter arrival wait times
  • A stronger electrical grid
  • More bathrooms
  • More showers
  • Improved campground layout
  • Better wayfinding
  • New activities

Those changes are especially important for the Dusk Till Dawn option.

A minor inconvenience during a four-night camping trip can become a substantial frustration during a 12-day stay. Reliable power, sanitation, navigation and arrival procedures will therefore play a major role in the success of the expanded concept.

Should You Camp for All 12 Days?

The full Camp EDC Dusk Till Dawn experience will not be right for everyone.

If your main goal is attending one EDC weekend, a shorter Dusk or Dawn camping pass makes more sense.

But the 12-day experience offers something fundamentally different.

It is best suited to people who view EDC as a community and destination experience rather than simply a festival lineup.

The full option could be particularly compelling for:

  • Groups attending both EDC weekends
  • International visitors making EDC their primary vacation
  • Dedicated EDC fans who enjoy campground culture
  • RV travelers
  • Guests who want to experience the programming between weekends
  • Headliners who prefer staying close to the Speedway
  • Travelers who want the freedom to move between Camp EDC and Las Vegas during the middle week

Twelve days is a significant commitment, though. Consider sleep, heat, food, transportation, personal space and recovery time before choosing the longest package.

Camp EDC vs. a Las Vegas Hotel

The choice becomes more interesting in 2027 because Hotel EDC Las Vegas is also scheduled for May 14–24.

Camp EDC provides proximity and immersion. You’re living beside the festival with other Headliners and have direct access to campground programming.

A hotel provides a different type of comfort: private bathrooms, conventional beds, climate-controlled rooms and easier access to Strip restaurants, spas and entertainment.

For an affluent traveler, Cozier ShiftPod or RV camping may provide a better compromise if being part of Camp EDC culture matters.

But travelers who prioritize sleep, privacy and resort amenities may find a hotel more comfortable over such an extended stay.

Neither is inherently better. They deliver very different versions of EDC Las Vegas.

Camp EDC 2027 Pass On-Sale Details

How to Prepare for 12 Days at Camp EDC

A 12-day festival campground requires more planning than a normal weekend.

First, think about sleep and recovery. Trying to attend every party for nearly two weeks is unrealistic for most people. Build quieter periods into your schedule.

Next, consider clothing and laundry. Packing for 12 days in a desert environment is substantially different from packing for a long weekend.

Sun protection and hydration also become daily priorities. Las Vegas in May can be hot during daylight hours even when nighttime temperatures feel comfortable.

If you’re using a Cozy ShiftPod, remember that you are responsible for your sleeping equipment. Cozier campers have bedding provided, but personal comfort items may still make an extended stay easier.

And take advantage of the ability to leave and return during the middle week. A restaurant meal, hotel spa visit or quiet afternoon away from the campground could make the second weekend considerably more enjoyable.

Camp EDC Las Vegas Begins a New 12-Day Era

Camp EDC Las Vegas is no longer simply an add-on to a three-day festival. In 2027, it becomes part of a much larger experiment in what EDC can be.

From May 13 through May 24, Dusk Till Dawn campers can live at Las Vegas Motor Speedway across two festival weekends, enjoy programming during the days between them and come and go as they choose. Cozy and Cozier ShiftPods return under new names, RV camping remains an option, and the Mesa will continue serving as the community heart of the campground.

The change reflects the broader transformation of EDC Las Vegas itself. After celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2026 with more than 450 artists across 18 music areas and art cars, EDC is entering 2027 with two weekends, lower planned capacity and a new vision for an extended Las Vegas experience.

For Headliners who have always wished EDC lasted longer, 12 days at Camp EDC may be the closest thing yet to making the Electric Sky home.
